Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CIITA Mutation is linked to patient survival in 9 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated CIITA data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher CIITA Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CIITA expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BLCA and STAD show a favorable association.

KIRP, OV, and BLCA are the cancer types where CIITA Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
