Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CHMP1B2P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 10 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of CHMP1B2P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where CHMP1B2P RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types CHMP1B2P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRC and KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.

KIRC, KICH, and STAD are the cancer types where CHMP1B2P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
