Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CHI3L2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated CHI3L2 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher CHI3L2 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CHI3L2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
HNSC, UCEC, and SARC are the cancer types where CHI3L2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
