Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CHCHD2P6 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 12 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of CHCHD2P6’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where CHCHD2P6 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types CHCHD2P6 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.

THCA, KICH, and COAD are the cancer types where CHCHD2P6 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
