Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CHAF1B RNA is linked to patient survival in 28 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated CHAF1B data layer compared with 2 for mutation status and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC), where higher CHAF1B RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CHAF1B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as READ and SKCM show a favorable association.
ACC, KIRP, and MESO are the cancer types where CHAF1B RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
