Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CHAF1B RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 16 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of CHAF1B’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where CHAF1B RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types CHAF1B is over-expressed in tumor.

BLCA, COAD, and HNSC are the cancer types where CHAF1B tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
