Across TCGA patient cohorts, CFTR mutation is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 4,780 significant associations in total. UCEC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible CFTR-associated genes across cancer lineages are C1orf174, PSMA1, and XPNPEP1. Each is linked with CFTR in more than 4 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both CFTR-to-partner and partner-to-CFTR results are reported.
