Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CEP89 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated CEP89 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in small cell lung cancer (SCLC), where higher CEP89 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CEP89 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
SCLC, UCEC, and HNSC are the cancer types where CEP89 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
