Across TCGA patient cohorts, CDKN2A protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 4,323 significant associations in total. GBM shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible CDKN2A-associated genes across cancer lineages are CDKN2B, CDKN2B-AS1, and CDKN2A-DT. Each is linked with CDKN2A in more than 6 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both CDKN2A-to-partner and partner-to-CDKN2A results are reported.
