Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CDC14A mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated CDC14A data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC), where higher CDC14A mass-spec protein is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CDC14A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LSCC and UCEC show a favorable association.
LSCC and UCEC are the cancer types where CDC14A mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
