Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CDA RNA is linked to patient survival in 29 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated CDA data layer compared with 3 for mutation status and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where higher CDA RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CDA expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as ESCA and DLBC show a favorable association.
BLCA, ESCA, and PAAD are the cancer types where CDA RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
