Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CCDC37-DT RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of CCDC37-DT’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where CCDC37-DT RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types CCDC37-DT is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
BRCA are the cancer types where CCDC37-DT tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
