Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CCDC134 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 15 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of CCDC134’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where CCDC134 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types CCDC134 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and KIRP show the opposite, repressed pattern.
BLCA, HNSC, and LIHC are the cancer types where CCDC134 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
