Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CARS1 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 8 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated CARS1 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 8 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (CCRCC), where higher CARS1 mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CARS1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and PDAC show a favorable association.

CCRCC, HNSC, and LSCC are the cancer types where CARS1 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
