Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CAMK2A Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated CAMK2A data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in esophageal carcinoma (ESCA), where higher CAMK2A Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CAMK2A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
ESCA, LIHC, and SCLC are the cancer types where CAMK2A Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
