Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CACNA1S RNA is linked to patient survival in 25 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated CACNA1S data layer compared with 10 for mutation status and 1 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher CACNA1S RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CACNA1S expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and SCLC show a favorable association.

KIRP, KIRC, and HNSC are the cancer types where CACNA1S RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
