Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CACNA1I mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated CACNA1I data layer compared with 20 for mass-spec protein and 11 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), where higher CACNA1I mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CACNA1I expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
GBM are the cancer types where CACNA1I mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
