Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CABYR RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 15 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of CABYR’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where CABYR RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types CABYR is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as PRAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.
KIRC, LUAD, and LUSC are the cancer types where CABYR tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
