Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, C8orf48 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated C8orf48 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney chromophobe (KICH), where higher C8orf48 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated C8orf48 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
KICH, CESC, and BRCA are the cancer types where C8orf48 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
