C5orf64

Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, C5orf64 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 11 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of C5orf64’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where C5orf64 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types C5orf64 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and LUAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.

THCA, LUAD, and LUSC are the cancer types where C5orf64 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
