C5orf63

Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, C5orf63 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 9 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of C5orf63’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where C5orf63 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types C5orf63 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.

THCA, BLCA, and CHOL are the cancer types where C5orf63 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
