Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, C4A-AS1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 9 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated C4A-AS1 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher C4A-AS1 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated C4A-AS1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LIHC show a favorable association.

KIRP, PAAD, and BLCA are the cancer types where C4A-AS1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
