Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, C1orf21 RNA is linked to patient survival in 22 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated C1orf21 data layer compared with 1 for mutation status and 4 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in uveal melanoma (UVM), where higher C1orf21 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated C1orf21 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCS and SKCM show a favorable association.

UVM, KICH, and KIRP are the cancer types where C1orf21 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
