Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, C1QTNF3-AMACR RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 12 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of C1QTNF3-AMACR’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney chromophobe (KICH), where C1QTNF3-AMACR RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types C1QTNF3-AMACR is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KICH and THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.

KICH, KIRC, and LIHC are the cancer types where C1QTNF3-AMACR tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
