Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, C18orf12 RNA is linked to patient survival in 8 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated C18orf12 data layer.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where higher C18orf12 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated C18orf12 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM and STAD show a favorable association.
LIHC, THYM, and PCPG are the cancer types where C18orf12 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
