Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, C16orf97 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated C16orf97 data layer compared with 15 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in small cell lung cancer (SCLC), where higher C16orf97 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated C16orf97 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
SCLC are the cancer types where C16orf97 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
