Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, C12orf56 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated C12orf56 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher C12orf56 Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated C12orf56 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.
SKCM are the cancer types where C12orf56 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
