Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, C12orf40 RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated C12orf40 data layer compared with 7 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher C12orf40 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated C12orf40 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as COAD and BRCA show a favorable association.
KIRC, DLBC, and KICH are the cancer types where C12orf40 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
