Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, C12orf40 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated C12orf40 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where higher C12orf40 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated C12orf40 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM and UCEC show a favorable association.

THCA, ESCA, and SKCM are the cancer types where C12orf40 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
