Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, C10orf95 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 14 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of C10orf95’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where C10orf95 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types C10orf95 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRC and LUSC show the opposite, repressed pattern.

KIRC, COAD, and STAD are the cancer types where C10orf95 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
