Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, BTF3P8 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of BTF3P8’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where BTF3P8 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types BTF3P8 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as STAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.
STAD, LUAD, and KIRC are the cancer types where BTF3P8 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
