Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, BTF3P6 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 8 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of BTF3P6’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where BTF3P6 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types BTF3P6 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.

BLCA, KIRC, and STAD are the cancer types where BTF3P6 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
