Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, BMPER RNA is linked to patient survival in 27 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated BMPER data layer compared with 11 for mutation status and 2 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in ovarian serous cystadenocarcinoma (OV), where higher BMPER RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated BMPER expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as PAAD and LAML show a favorable association.
OV, BLCA, and PAAD are the cancer types where BMPER RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
