Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, BMP7-AS1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 12 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated BMP7-AS1 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher BMP7-AS1 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated BMP7-AS1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as OV and KIRP show a favorable association.

KIRC, ACC, and THCA are the cancer types where BMP7-AS1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
