Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, BIRC6-AS2 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 7 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of BIRC6-AS2’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where BIRC6-AS2 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types BIRC6-AS2 is over-expressed in tumor.

BLCA, CHOL, and STAD are the cancer types where BIRC6-AS2 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
