Across TCGA patient cohorts, BCAN mutation is significantly associated with the total protein of many other genes, with 65 significant associations in total. UCEC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible BCAN-associated genes across cancer lineages are PCNA, eEF2, and N-Ras. Each is linked with BCAN in more than 4 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both BCAN-to-partner and partner-to-BCAN results are reported.
