Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, BCAN RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated BCAN data layer compared with 11 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher BCAN RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated BCAN expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LGG and GBM show a favorable association.

LUAD, MESO, and LAML are the cancer types where BCAN RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
