Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, B4GALNT4 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated B4GALNT4 data layer compared with 30 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), where higher B4GALNT4 mass-spec protein is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated B4GALNT4 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as GBM show a favorable association.
GBM are the cancer types where B4GALNT4 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
