Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, B4GALNT1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated B4GALNT1 data layer compared with 20 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher B4GALNT1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated B4GALNT1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
LUAD, BLCA, and UCEC are the cancer types where B4GALNT1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
