Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, AVP RNA is linked to patient survival in 15 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated AVP data layer compared with 2 for mutation status and 1 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where higher AVP RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated AVP expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CESC and LUAD show a favorable association.

STAD, COAD, and UCS are the cancer types where AVP RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
