Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ATP8B4 RNA is linked to patient survival in 20 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated ATP8B4 data layer compared with 11 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher ATP8B4 RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ATP8B4 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM and HNSC show a favorable association.

SKCM, HNSC, and LUAD are the cancer types where ATP8B4 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
