Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ATP8A1 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated ATP8A1 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher ATP8A1 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ATP8A1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as PDAC and CCRCC show a favorable association.

LUAD, PDAC, and CCRCC are the cancer types where ATP8A1 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
