Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ATP6V1H RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 12 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of ATP6V1H’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where ATP6V1H RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types ATP6V1H is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRC and THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
KIRC, THCA, and HNSC are the cancer types where ATP6V1H tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
