Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ATP5MC1P7 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of ATP5MC1P7’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where ATP5MC1P7 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types ATP5MC1P7 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and STAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.
THCA, ESCA, and STAD are the cancer types where ATP5MC1P7 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
