Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ATP5F1E RNA is linked to patient survival in 20 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated ATP5F1E data layer compared with 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher ATP5F1E RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ATP5F1E expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as OV and SKCM show a favorable association.
HNSC, ACC, and UVM are the cancer types where ATP5F1E RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
