Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ATP5F1B mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated ATP5F1B data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher ATP5F1B mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ATP5F1B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as PDAC and CCRCC show a favorable association.

HNSC, LUAD, and PDAC are the cancer types where ATP5F1B mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
