Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ATP1A3 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated ATP1A3 data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 8 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher ATP1A3 mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ATP1A3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as GBM show a favorable association.
HNSC and GBM are the cancer types where ATP1A3 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
