Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ATAD2B RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 14 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of ATAD2B’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where ATAD2B RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types ATAD2B is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KICH and THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.

BLCA, HNSC, and KICH are the cancer types where ATAD2B tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
