Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ASS1P10 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 10 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of ASS1P10’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where ASS1P10 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types ASS1P10 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRP and KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.
KIRP, KICH, and KIRC are the cancer types where ASS1P10 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
