Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ARID2 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 13 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of ARID2’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where ARID2 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types ARID2 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and PAAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.
LIHC, THCA, and HNSC are the cancer types where ARID2 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
